Real Housewives of New York star LuAnn de Lesseps married businessman Tom D’Agostina Jr. this January, but recent headlines suggested they may already be headed for splitsville. A report published on Page Six claims that the marriage is “hanging from a thread,” and that the couple have broken up several times since their nuptials.
Their source says they are experiencing troubles because D’Agostina hates the reality TV game and all the attention that goes along with it. The gossip seems to stem from an incident that allegedly happened last week at a New York restaurant.
The couple faced some very public controversy before they were married during last seasons’ reunion special. Co-star Bethenny Frankel presented the former Countess with evidence that D’Agostina Jr. had kissed another woman. “I’m not going to let a kiss ruin the rest of my life. Who doesn’t make mistakes?” LuAnn responded.
Both LuAnn and Tom have been quick to comment to the press about their current marital status. “There is a lot of love here,” D’Agostino told Us Weekly “We want it to succeed.”
LuAnn had similar tentatively positive statement for ET: “Tom and I are in love and marriage takes work. We are working on this together.”
Their veiled words seem to confirm that there is a bit of trouble, but that they’re both willing to weather through it together, for now.
