Eminem has a new style. For most of his career the rapper has had a signature style of bleached hair, clean-shaven face and white t-shirt. Now the 44-year-old is growing out his beard, keeping his hair dark, and rocking a darker ensemble.
The photo above, posted to his Instagram was taken Thursday night at the premiere of The Defiant Ones, an HBO documentary about Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine’s working relationship.
Eminem has always embraced the powerful popular culture trope of making multiple identities to help expand creative expression. Among his “characters” are Eminem, Slim Shady, and his real life persona Marshall Mathers III. Is this new bearded look a glimpse at yet another persona for Marshall Mathers? Regardless, his new look bears a pretty strong resemblance to Justin Timberlake, no?
