Soccer star Abby Wambach has married Christian mom blogger and best-selling author Glennon Doyle Melton.
Melton made headlines in November when she revealed that she and Wambach were dating. The reveal came just three months after Glennon’s divorce from Craig Melton became public. The whirlwind romance also made waves with fans of Wambach, since, just two months before, she publicly stated that she was divorcing her wife Sarah Huffman.
Melton got engaged to Wambach in February. Over the weekend, she posted a pic of the two of them together, and it ignited speculation that the two had got hitched:

Melton, whose book Love Warrior is a New York Times #1 best seller and who has dedicated following on her blog Momastery, verified the good news when she reshared Wambach’s photo. In addition, Melton wrote, “My beloveds – please never give up on love. Life could surprise the hell out of you. Trust me- you might just wake up one morning and find yourself smackdab in the middle of heaven. I love my wife. LOVE WINS.”
Melton has been an outspoken advocate for same-sex marriage. “Figuring out my stance on homosexuality felt like a life and death decision,” she wrote in 2013, “I know my Jesus, I love Him, and I think if he needed me to believe that homosexuality was a sin, He would have mentioned it.”
The mom-of-three has also stated that her ex-husband, who she’s written about extensively, has been supportive of her new life with Wambach.
