Chief Keef’s latest run-in with the law resulted in one of the more entertaining celebrity mug shots to emerge in some time. The 21-year-old was arrested on possession charges down in Miami over the weekend, after what looked like a routine traffic stop turned into a surprise drug bust.

TMZ was first on the scene with the story. Their report states that Chief and some friends had been cruising around in his green Maclaren and that when stopped by police the man in the passenger seat–in full view of the police–”got out and handed off some bud.”

At that point, the cops did a full search of both Chief’s car and the trailing car, and found “more weed and other substances.” Chief himself reportedly had “bloodshot eyes and a dry mouth.” But he also came up with the line of the afternoon when the “drug expert” showed up, telling the expert, “It’s okay. When you find weed in my urine I’ll just get my attorney to get my marijuana card.”

Furthermore, the Miami Herald came in with the assist by quoting the arresting officer, who “added that Cozart spontaneously stated, ‘You’ll find weed in me.'”

The Herald also reported that Chief (real name Keith Cozart) had in his possession “a cup filled with a syrupy liquid known as sizzurp, which is also known as ‘lean’ or ‘purple drank.'” (The drink is a mix of soda and codeine-based cough syrup.)

Even if he weren’t driving under the influence, it definitely wouldn’t have been hard for the police to find Chief. He’d been sharing photos of himself and his iconic ride for days before the bust:

And some of those photos even appear to depict–shock of shocks!–a possible illicit substance in use:

Chief was charged with DUI. The four other people in his car and the tailing car received a mix of charges, including possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended license, and, in the case of two of the four other men, having between them a total of thirteen fradulent credit cards.

Hopefully the arrest won’t sour Chief and his crew’s relationship with the powers that be in Miami: he’s currently scheduled to play the city’s Bayfront Park on May 7th.
