Ali Fedotowsky was employed at Facebook when she left The Bachelor unexpectedly. She told her boss but not her coworkers where she was going and ended up using all of her vacation time to film the show. She was also a new employee at the company, starting this job in June 2009.
Facebook told New York Magazine that Ali was allowed to keep her job and is still employed at the company.
Ultimately it was a smart move for Ali to choose her career over Jake (who wants a man who’s wooing three women at once anyway, and if you do win you’ll probably break up), especially considering Reality Steve is saying Ali’s got it in the bag to be the next Bachelorette. If she follows in Melissa Rycroft’s footsteps, she could even use her Bachelor/ette fame to rocket her into a full-time TV career.
She’s even got her own fan site dedicated to making her the next Bachelorette, it’s designed in the style of Web 0.01, but it’s the thought that counts. Go for it Ali, be the Captain of your own plane!
