In a move no one everyone saw coming, Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas are getting a divorce.
According to Reality Tea, the eyewear designer confirmed the news. “I still love and support him. I just don’t want to be married to Peter anymore,” Cynthia explained.
In May, the couple announced they were officially separated. Most believed it was just a matter of time before they were done for good.
Thankfully, Cynthia is walking away from this relationship with a healthy perspective on her soon-to-be ex. “I am really at peace with my relationship with Peter because I really feel like I gave it all I could give,” she admitted.
The couple have been married since 2010.
Despite the turmoil in their relationship, it’s been reported that both Cynthia and Peter will be back for season nine of The Real Housewives of Atlanta which is currently filming.
Cynthia summed it up perfectly in an interview with E! News saying, “I don’t want it to be an ugly divorce because I still love Peter. I just don’t want to be married to Peter anymore. It’s as simple as that.”
