We were the first site to break the news that Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Scrapp DeLeon was once again behind bars on drug possession charges. But, just like Empire‘s Lucious Lyon, Scrapp isn’t going to let a little thing like prison keep him from working and talking to his fans!
In a video posted earlier today on Scrapp’s Instagram account, he talks from behind bars to tell his family, friends, and fans thanks for their support and to reassure them he will “be home soon:”
Here’s the transcript:
First and foremost I have to thank a lot my provider, my cherisher and my sustainer — It’s He who helps me get through these trials and tribulations. My family, who has been there for me during this whole duration, I love y’all. And my fans, my supporters — I appreciate y’all. Every letter, every card, every email, every piece of mail I’m extremely grateful for. I try to reply as fast as I can, but I’m backed up, so please bear with me. And to my two boys, Aking and Akil, daddy loves you, and I’ll be home soon.
Prior to posting that message, Scrapp DeLeon’s brand new music video for the song “Hustlaz Ambition” was posted online, and it features Scrapp’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta co-stars Joseline Hernandez & Stevie J. as well as his brother Sas. Here’s the video — but be forewarned that it does contain explicit language:
I dunno, that sure seems like a rather bold music video for someone currently in jail — potentially for quite a while. That being said, I will give Scrapp credit for the clever prepositional dexterity of being both from the ‘hood and on the hood:
On a side note, if he’s looking to genre hop, he should consider hard rock — that way he could title his first album “Scrapp Metal.”
