As remembrances pour in for Prince following the news of his passing yesterday, one story and accompanying video making the rounds really highlights the man in all his swaggerfied gloriousness.
Dig if you will the picture, a 2011 concert at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Kim Kardashian was up front and center in the crowd, because of course she was, and The Purple One took notice.
You see, Prince wanted to dance and when Prince wants to dance you better dance! Instead, Kim got nervous and just stood there frozen. This was not acceptable:
“Get off my stage.” And with that, Kim Kardashian was officially Prince-dismissed.
The most famous of the famous-for-being-famous Kardashians got a chance at redemption as she was brought up on stage later in the show. “Went up on stage AGAIN! This time I redeemed myself. We all danced while Prince played the piano! Wow! What a night!” Kim later wrote.
