The hits just keep coming for Tarek and Christina El Moussa, who’ve just revealed a brand-new Flip Or Flop update in the form of a fun summer one-off! That’s an extra dose for fans, who were treated to the news of a Flip or Flop Season 5 renewal only weeks ago. According to the HGTV press release, the couple will feature in Flip or Flop: Selling Summer just in time for the dog days. Selling Summer will feature a minor twist on the tried-and-true Flip or Flop format, in the form of Tarek and Christina putting their own house on the line:
The new four-episode series stars the El Moussas as they transform tired backyards into gorgeous spaces with fun features, including revamped swimming pools, cool waterslides and relaxing swim-up bars. The couple also overhaul their own backyard and pool into a stunning oasis.
Flip or Flop: Selling Summer doesn’t have an exact premiere date yet, but HGTV’s release mentions that the show will debut in August. Given its four-episode length and Flip or Flop‘s Thursday timeslot, it seems like August 4th is a natural date, unless the network decides to air the show on a different night.
And, though HGTV hasn’t yet released an official statement on the new season, we did get unofficial confirmation in the form of a surprise Flip or Flop update from Christina herself, via Instagram:
If you’re wondering whether HGTV is worried about a Flip or Flop overload, Christina’s most recent Instagram update should answer your question. Apparently, Flip or Flop Season 4 had the show’s highest ratings yet–not bad for a program that’s already a few years into its run!
