Florida man sics pit bull on police, pit bull attacks Florida man’s butt

Avery Davis arrest pit bull butt bite

Sometimes man’s best friend turns out to be The Man’s best friend. This lesson was learned the hard way by Riviera Beach, Florida’s Avery Davis on Monday. According to a police report, 26-year-old Avery was attempting to run from police with an arm full of stolen hair care products when he instructed his pit bull to attack the officers. Avery’s plan bit him in the ass, however, as his pit bull literally bit him in the ass instead.

According to the report, obtained by The Palm Beach Post, the whole thing started as police were in the 2300 block of Avenue S. in Riviera Beach investigating a reported burglary. “Officers observed Davis, who matched the description of the suspect,” reports The Post. “He reportedly was carrying hair care products.”

More from The Post:

Officers ordered Davis to lay on the ground. He did so while hugging the dog. Davis reportedly told officers, “Y’all gonna have to kill us” before getting up and running away.

An officer fired a stun at Davis, temporarily knocking him back to the ground. Davis reportedly got up and ran again. As officers pursued, Davis released the dog from its leash and yelled, “Kill ’em boy, kill ’em,” while pointing at the officers, the report said.

Instead of going after the police officers, the morally upright pooch instead bit Avery in the buttocks and then attempted to bite Avery’s head, according tot he report.

Despite suffering from a bad case of bite butt, Avery remained mobile enough to scurry off and hide in a nearby apartment complex. His escape was short-lived, however, as police soon found him hiding under an SUV. Avery took off yet again, but was eventually captured by police. After a visit to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Avery Davis was booked into jail.

According to online records, Avery is facing the following charges:
