Tyler Perry pleads for respect during Bobbi Kristina’s final days

Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of Whitney Houston, found unconscious in a bathtub

Tyler Perry has made an impassioned plea for respect toward Bobbi Kristina, her family, and the other families in her hospice. Perry, a long-time friend to Whitney Houston and the Houston-Brown family at large, visited Bobbi Kristina last month, and has been quiet on her condition since.

In the last week , though, her time at the Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth GA has been marked by the erection of a mysterious white tent in front of the hospice’s rear entrance, as well as the arrival of at least two different hearses. The director of the facility has remarked publicly that no one died there this week. And Bobbi Kristina’s family has stated that the 22-year-old is still alive.

Perry made his remarks on Facebook just one day ago:

This morning I woke up with Whitney on my mind. I couldn’t help but think about all that she must have dreamed for her child. I know this was not her dream… And as difficult as this time is for the people that love both Whitney and Krissi, what makes it more egregious is the blatant disrespect, lies, and ignorance that are rapidly printed in this awful time. For some reason, it has become human nature in our society to look for, seek out, and celebrate darkness, glory in tragedy, and enjoy reading and reporting it.

It makes me sad to know that everybody wants to be the first to report something awful. So much so, that they find it OK to speak death onto those who are still alive. May I ask you all to please show some decency and respect? Not only to Krissi’s family, but also to the other families that are there in this place. Not only is Krissi at the center but there are several other families who are grieving the loss of their loved ones at the same time. It’s heartbreaking to think that even in a time like this, this child is still not allowed any peace. I assure you, the family will issue an official statement if something changes. Until then, can we just pray for Krissi, and the Houston and Brown families?

Perry has been a close friend to Bobbi Kristina and family for years. He had Whitney Houston’s remains flown to her New Jersey resting place on his private plane after Houston’s untimely death in 2012, and spoke at her funeral, saying “Whitney Houston loved the Lord. I know nothing separated her from the love of God.”

He also worked with Bobbi Kristina on a TBS project several years ago, and offered his plane to Bobby Brown so that Brown could fly home to see Bobbi Kristina between tour dates earlier this year.
