Chanel West Coast’s ‘Bass in the Trunk’ music video directed by Rob Dyrdek

Chanel West Coast Bass In the Trunk

On last week’s episode of Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory we got to see behind the scenes of the making of Rob’s Ridiculousness co-star Chanel West Coast’s new music video for her song “Bass In the Trunk,” and now we can finally see the finished product!

(Caution, Chanel drops more than a few uncensored F-bombs)

(Gorgeous singer, graffiti, animation… For some reason I couldn’t help but think of Paula Abdul’s video for “Opposites Attract” alongside an MC Skat Kat — only a little more modern and a bit more urban.)

You know you want an animated gif of Chanel West Coast cruisin’…

Oh, and you can order a t-shirt with that image (minus the animation) on Chanel’s website!

And in case you were wondering what was up with Chanel’s voice in the beginning, she explained that on Twitter:

I’ve already got the song stuck in my head, and Chanel was already stuck there, so the end result is a bit of an unhealthy obsession. In other words, I’m all about that bass in the trunk! My only complaint is that we didn’t get to see Rob Dyrdek (who directed the video by the way) as Wyggins Wyldstyle:

Is it just me or is Rob sort of channeling his inner DEVO, much as he did when he recorded the Ridiculousness theme song with DEVO co-founder Mark Mothersbaugh?

Anyways, I’m diggin’ the song, and of course I’m diggin’ Chanel West Coast and all of her over-the-top looks! I’m especially fond of that makeup necklace and THAT HAIR:

As far as Chanel’s momma jeans shorts, all I’m going to say is that I’d sure like to get Steelo Brim’s take:

Be sure to check out Chanel West Coast, Steelo and Rob on new episodes of Ridiculousness airing on Thursday nights at 10/9c on MTV. Plus, be sure to download “Bass In the Trunk” from iTunes! I’ll let Chanel tell you how:
