Jameis Winston claims rape accuser tried to extort millions

In response to the current investigation by Florida State University of its own handling of rape charges against star quarterback Jameis Winston, his lawyer has sent a letter in which it’s claimed that his accuser demanded $7 million for her silence.

Attorney David Cornwell sent the letter to FSU, adding that his famous client will fully cooperate with the investigation. The alleged victim is arguing that the University is guilty of sexual discrimination by dismissing her claims in order to protect the QB that led the Seminoles to last year’s National Championship.

TMZ Sports obtained the letter that includes the very serious claim of extortion. It reads in part that his client was told, “If we settle, you will never hear from my client or me again — in the press or anywhere.”

Cornwell went on to write that 4 days after the request for the money was denied, she went to the media.

Also, Cornwell stated that the alleged victim’s attorney, Patricia Carroll, said that the encounter had to be rape because her client would never have sex with a “black boy.” It’s been shown since the time of the accusation that the alleged victim’s boyfriend at the time was black.

The letter closed with the following; “Mr. Winston will cooperate with the investigation. He looks forward to clearing his name. But Mr. Winston will not walk into a honey trap. The investigation must be a legitimate investigation.”
