For her turn on The Talk‘s annual Secrets Week, Sharon Osbourne revealed the truth about the scars her left arm has borne for more than 30 years.
“I was 27. I was going out with Ozzy at the time,” she said after explaining her own children didn’t even know this story. “When we first got together, we would drink a lot. We had a session of partying… And it’s about four in the morning and he says to me, ‘How much do you really love me? I don’t know if this relationship is going to last.’ And I’m saying to him, ‘I’d do anything for you, anything, I absolutely adore you… I’d give my life for you.'”
To prove her point, Sharon said she grabbed a steak knife and slit her wrist.
“Unfortunately for me, I kind of went too deep,” Sharon said, exposing the scars. “It wouldn’t stop bleeding, so I’m like, ‘Dear, I think we better call an ambulance.'”
Sharon said the doctors were convinced she had attempted suicide, so they “called the psych ward” and put her on medical lockdown.
“Cut to: I permanently scarred my wrist, I was on lockdown for being overdramatic and drunk at the time,” she said. “So, if anybody out there who likes to cut or harm or prove to someone, first let me tell you that these scars are a big embarrassment. I tell everyone I was attacked by a dog… It’s a reminder.”
