Although reality star Shayne Lamas had a tragic emergency hysterectomy and miscarriage with her last pregnancy, she was able to save her eggs and is planning to expand her family with husband, The Dirty’s Nik Richie.
The couple revealed the news at the multi-season Couples Therapy reunion Wednesday night. Shayne talked about the difficult moment when she woke up from anesthesia and found out that she had lost her baby, and that she was now unable to carry a child ever again. She said she screamed and asked everyone but Nik to leave the room. He told her “It’s just us,” and she said she felt that after that moment they were truly married.
Dr. Jen pointed out that before they seemed to view their marriage superficially, and Shayne agreed. Now, they seem to truly committed to being partners in life. They did not reveal the details of the new baby, like whether or not they actually have a surrogate who is expecting, but they seemed extremely excited to share the news. The couple have an almost three-year-old daughter named Press Dahl Lamas-Richie.
