Carlton Gebbia and Joyce Giraud fired from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

There have been rumors swirling for months, but multiple sources are now confirming that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Carlton Gebbia and Joyce Giraud have both been fired from the show after only one season.

“Decisions were made and Joyce and Carlton have been informed that they’re not coming back,” a “show insider” tells Us Weekly, who has other sources also confirming the report.

Rumors of Joyce and Carlton’s departure first gained momentum after a TMZ report in February that stated “there’s a 95% chance Joyce Giraud and Carlton Gebbia won’t be back for Season 5” adding that the two ladies were “just not involved enough in the series’ story lines to justify their coveted spots in the cast.”

E! News also has sources confirming the firings and they spoke with Carlton about it on the red carpet at the Maleficent premiere in Hollywood last night.

Carlton says of the firing reports, “I haven’t officially been notified yet by Bravo.” She then offers up her reaction if it were true. “If that is the case, then I sort of look at it as a blessing in disguise,” Carlton tells Giuliana Rancic, “because my husband does have a project in the works, a reality show, and it’s something that would give me the opportunity to work with him.” She adds, “I was contractually obligated for a three-year deal and if that’s the case, I’m not anymore.”

So if Carlton could do it over again, would she still have chosen to do the show? “I have no regrets,” she says. “I’ve met some lovely people along the way — great Twitter people — and I really have enjoyed working for Bravo.” Later she summed it up with “it was a great experience.”

Although she has no regrets, that doesn’t mean Carlton didn’t think her experience couldn’t have been better in some ways, and it sounds like she thinks some of those positive changes may be possible with the new project her husband is working on. “I would like to go into a show and not have to watch the knives coming at my back,” Carlton says. “That would be great.”

The confirmation of the Carlton and Joyce firings come just after TMZ reports that the show is also at risk of losing one of its biggest stars: Lisa Vanderpump! From the site:

We’re told Lisa — who’s already killing it on Bravo with her other show “Vanderpump Rules” — has not re-upped her RHOBH contract and has told Andy she’s fed up with the show … specifically because she felt extremely bullied by the other women last season.

TMZ says Andy Cohen recruited Lance Bass and the two of them “double teamed Lisa at her Beverly Hills restaurant PUMP over the weekend in a last ditch effort to get her to come back for the next season of RHOBH … disguising their attack as a casual dinner date.”

There is no word yet on whether or not Andy and Lance were successful in their efforts. One determining factor may be whether or not Bravo adds Lisa’s pal (and Mohammed Hadid’s fiancée), Shiva Safai as a housewife next season. According to Radar Online, “Both Lisa and Yolanda are telling Shiva she needs to join the cast and they want her to appear on the next season.” Radar’s source adds, “Lisa would love to have Shiva on the show because they are friends, and as viewers know, she isn’t popular with other ladies and could use another ally!”

So let me be the first to officially start the hashtag #BringBackCamille 🙂
