Twenty years after he relentlessly pursued her to appear in Pulp Fiction, Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman have reportedly decided to give romance a chance.
“He’s loved her for years,” a source told Us Weekly of the Academy Award-winning director. “They had a thing and got together again recently.”
The source explained Quentin and his Kill Bill star shared a villa in France during their engagement at the Cannes Film Festival. They also walked the red carpet arm-in-arm.
Another source added “there has always been an attraction” between the longtime friends.
“She has indulged from time to time, and that’s how their relationship has always worked,” the second source said. “They go out to lunch in NYC when he’s around. He always tries to find a role for her, or have her involved somehow.”
Despite being close working partners for the better part of 20 years, the sources said timing was always an issue for Quentin and Uma: She was married to Ethan Hawke from 1998 until 2004. She got engaged to hedge-fund magnate Arpad “Arki” Busson in 2007, but they recently broke the relationship off before marrying. Meanwhile, Quentin’s had reported relationships with Kathy Griffin, Mira Sorvino and Sofia Coppola.
