Larry Birkhead and Dannielynn Birkhead, his 7-year-old daughter with the late Anna Nicole Smith, made their annual appearance at the Kentucky Derby last weekend. Dannielynn wore an adorable pink and blue dress with a butterfly-embellished fascinator.
The father and daughter live in Kentucky throughout the year. They’ve made a sweet daddy-daughter annual tradition of attending the Derby. They maintain pretty low-profiles the rest of the time. (Other than Dannielynn’s GUESS Kids campaign in 2012.)
“It’s kind of a paparazzi free zone,” Larry told Today Show last year. “I’m being both parents, so I think that I just try to give her a good foundation and try to just be there for her at all times.”
Larry has agreed to allow cameras into his home a select few times — most recently for last fall’s Life After Anna Nicole documentary and an upcoming episode of Celebrity Wife Swap.
Larry told The Courier-Journal in April, “I am not married so I swapped my sister with the wife of race car driver Hélio Castroneves.”
Dannielynn and Larry Birkhead’s episode of Celebrity Wife Swap will air as the season finale on May 27.
