Fans of New Zealand singer Lorde are well aware that the 17-year-old is fearless when it comes to expressing herself, especially during circumstances in which she perceives injustices.
The “Royals” singer recently set her sights on photographer Simon Runting, whom she feels has crossed lines in pursuit of pics and has deemed him a stalker.
On Saturday she posted the following via Twitter:
The pop star then followed up on her initial post by continually sharing the same image of Runting while explaining her position. She wrote, “This should not be an accepted standard for young women or anyone in this industry.” She also shared a direct link to his Facebook page.
Lorde went on to write, “I refuse to stay complicit and i refuse to stay passive about men systematically subjecting me to extreme fear,” and “I understand that this comes with the territory. I do not understand why I should be complacent.”
Runting had previously taken pics of Rihanna through her hotel window prompting RiRi to share the images via Instagram noting, “I hate these ni***rs more than the Nazis.”
