REPORT Gwen Stefani joins The Voice, replaces pregnant Christina Aguilera

REPORT Gwen Stefani joining The Voice season 7 as a coach

The singers on Season 6 of The Voice are still battling it out with current coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Shakira and Usher, but NBC is already making moves for Season 7. It was previously announced that Pharrell Williams would be joining the show coaching staff in the next cycle, and it was expected that Christina Aguilera would be returning after taking the current season off. But, Christina revealed she was pregnant back in February, and despite NBC’s reported desire to have her back anyway, she has declined. Now TMZ is saying that the network plans on filling the A-list sexy blonde female coach slot with none other than No Doubt lead singer Gwen Stefani!

The site cites multiple sources saying that Gwen will be on Season 7, which begins taping in June. As far as Christina not returning, the site says, “We’re told NBC wanted Christina to stay during her pregnancy but she’s having a difficult time already and ultimately bowed out.”

TMZ says Christina plans on rotating back into the coach’s seat in Season 8. As for Gwen, her contract is reportedly just for one season right now, but who knows what the future holds?

So we have Pharrell and Gwen Stefani seemingly confirmed as The Voice coaches for Season 7. Here’s a little glimpse of what that might look like:
