VIDEO Two and a Half Men’s Angus T. Jones is unrecognizable, says he was a paid hypocrite

Angus T. Jones Now - Former Two and a Half Men Star

Despite growing up on Two and a Half Men, Angus T. Jones’ most shocking transformation came within the past year.

Now 20, the former child star has a full beard, shaggy hair and laid-back style. The new look all goes along with his new lifestyle: He spends his time spreading the word of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

“I really want to come into the light because I know that is where the healing is and I’ve seen God do amazing things,” he told Houston’s KHOU last weekend.

In November 2012, Angus’ religious perspective got him in a bit of trouble when he called Two and a Half Men “filth” and encouraged people to stop watching.

He later apologized for “showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed.”

Angus’ character, Jake Harper, was written out of the show the following season, when his multimillion dollar contract ended. Since then, he began college in Colorado and regularly goes down to Houston to work with the World Harvest Outreach Church.

Now that the dust stirred up by Angus’ anti-Two and a Half Men comments has settled, the former actor has another message for show creator Chuck Lorre.

“That’s his like baby and I just totally insulted his baby and to that degree I am apologetic. But, otherwise I don’t regret saying what I said,” Angus told KHOU. “I was a paid hypocrite because I wasn’t OK with it and I was still doing it.”

As for whether he plans to act again, Angus isn’t ruling it out. However, he will only consider roles that align with his personal beliefs.

“There’s a few different productions that like do kind of Bible-based stories.”
