Victoria’s Secret uses Kate Upton photos in new catalog after their booking agent slams her look

Kate Upton attends the 50th Annual New York Film Festival - "No" Premiere - arrivals in New York City, United States.

It wasn’t long ago that Victoria’s Secret made waves with their booking agent’s shocking statement about Kate Upton’s look and why she’d “never” hire her. At the time, they seemed unimpressed with Kate’s beauty and healthy curves but now, it looks like they’ve had a major change of heart. In an odd turn of events, Victoria’s Secret has debuted photos of Kate in their new catalog. The only problem is they never actually told Kate they’d be using them.

“The pictures are from 2011,” a source told Page Six. “Kate’s not currently contracted to work with Victoria’s Secret, and they didn’t contact her before they used these images.”

According to the source, Kate isn’t just ticked that she wasn’t given a heads up. She’s also upset that the company would use her at all after what their booker had previously said regarding her chances at being cast in their runway show.

Last year, booker Sophia Neophitou told the New York Times, “We would never use Kate. She is too obvious. She’s like a Page 3 girl. She’s like a footballer’s wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.”

Kate modeled for Victoria’s Secret in the past, she was just never approved to walk the runway.

Despite the Victoria’s Secret diss, Kate has done quite well for herself. Next month, she graces the cover of Vogue which is surely a top honor for any model. Plus, she’s landed the cover of Sports Illustrated two years in a row. Take that, Sophia!
