Pink dishes about dating Joey Fatone and being a “reformed s**t”

Pink Glamour Interview

She’s known for being rough around the edges, but Pink told the June issue of Glamour that motherhood has brought out a very tender side of in her.

“Every time she bounces on the bed, I see stitches,” Pink said of her 23-month-old daughter, Willow Sage. The singer then reverted back to her classic style. “Being a parent is a Jedi mind f–k. It’s also the raddest thing ever.”

As that little quote shows, there’s no reason to fear: Pink’s still the B.A.B. who rose to fame in the early 2000s with her album M!ssundaztood.

“I’m just living my life. I don’t want to be your kind of good,” she said, explaining her reputation.

In the revealing interview, the self-described “reformed s**t” said making marriage works is way more challenging that moving from one fling to the next. (Why is it I’m so much more inclined to take marriage advice from Pink than Gwyneth Paltrow?)

“Long-term relationships are an everyday choice,” she said. “We’re good because we communicate and we’ve grown up together, not because we don’t fight.”

Pink and Carey Hart Overcome Marriage Troubles

Pink and her husband, Carey Hart, have proved their relationship is worth fighting for. Back in 2008, Pink and the motorcross racer announced they were separating after two years of marriage. At the time, Pink released a statement saying that their split wasn’t about cheating, anger or fighting. Rather, they were just concentrating on different things. They also weren’t ruling out the possibility of reuniting.

“One never knows the future, but mine and Carey’s just might involve beach babies and sunshine one day,” she foreshadowed.

They confirmed their reconciliation in 2009 and Pink gave birth to their first child two years later.

Interestingly, Pink told Glamour that wasn’t the first time someone has really fought for a relationship with her.

“Joey Fatone was in love with me,” she said of her *NSYNC touring partner from the late 1990s. “He took me to Friendly’s on a date, and he bought me an ice cream. Such a sweetheart. He asked my dad’s permission.”

Unfortunately, the relationship didn’t pan out. That was likely because of the old saying, “It’s not wise to date your coworkers while on a national concert tour.”

It’s still a fun tidbit. And, for those keeping track, that means Fatone was with Pink, Lance Bass was with Danielle Fischel and Justin Timberlake was with Britney Spears. I don’t know who JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick dated in the late 1990s, but I’m willing to bet the ladies were famous!
