Chris Brown refuses to stand during Frank Ocean Grammy win

When Frank Ocean, one of the hottest rising stars in the music industry, took the stage for Grammy Award win for Best Urban Contemporary Album (Channel Orange,) there was one notable guest who wasn’t giving him a standing ovation.

Chris Brown WAS clapping for his rival, but since he was sitting in the very first row, it really stood out that he wasn’t standing up like everyone else to celebrate Ocean’s win. Chris was actually up for the same category with his album Fortune. Two weeks ago Brown and Ocean got into a brawl in a studio parking garage. Frank Ocean said that Chris Brown punched him in the face, and even called him the F-word, but later said on the tumblr account that he was not going to press charges because “forgiveness is wisdom.”

He wrote:

“As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. But as a man I am not a killer. I’m an artist and a modern person. I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace.”

At least Chris Brown was still clapping. It’s sad that Chris Brown always seems to have such drama around him, because he really is a talented artists. Do you think Frank Ocean would have stood up for Chris if the situation were reversed?
