Penelope Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem are reportedly expecting their second child together. The two have been married since 2010 and since then have welcomed one son, but now they are expanding their family once again — and so is Penelope’s sister.
According to the New York Post, several sources have confirmed to Page Six that Penelope, who has been looking a bit fuller than usual lately, is definitely pregnant and will welcome a baby later this year. Their baby will join big brother Leo Encinas Bardem who was born in January of 2011.
“From the first second, you feel so much love,” Penelope told Vogue after giving birth the first time around. “It is a revolutionary experience. That’s the best way I can describe it. It transforms you completely, in a second. Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment, when you see that face, you are transformed forever.”
Penelope’s sister, 35-year-old lingerie model Monica Cruz, announced just weeks ago that she was also expecting a baby which she conceived via an anonymous sperm donor.
“I am going to be a mother! I have managed to fulfill the dream of a lifetime,” Monica revealed. “I want to share with all of you this special journey and to be able to tell you about all my experiences during this fascinating time. [I want to] show my thanks to all those anonymous men that help to give many women like me, the dream of their lives.”
Two look-a-like sisters pregnant at the same time? How fun!
