Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick welcomed their first daughter, Penelope Scotland Disick, into the world just after 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2012. Kourtney, 33, chose to deliver naturally and her entire family was there to witness the birth. Kourtney is on the latest issue of Life & Style and is opening up about what went down in her delivery room and how she feels following the delivery.
“Scott and I are overjoyed to welcome our precious angel,” she tells the mag. “It feels amazing. It’s just so indescribable.” Kourtney unexpectedly went into labor while eating at a local restaurant. Her mom, step dad, and all of her siblings immediately rushed to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for baby Penelope’s arrrival. Kim, who was in New Jersey, hopped on the first flight out and made it just in time. No word on if Scott Disick’s scandalous father, Jeffrey Disick, was there!

Daddy Scott, who recently revealed his plan to spoil the hell out of his daughter, was more emotional than anyone expected. “He usually holds everything in, but having a healthy little girl with Kourtney just melted his heart.” Kourt’s longtime love (she’s still not ready to marry him) even broke down in tears at the sight of his healthy baby girl.
During her stay in one of the hospital’s plush maternity suites, Kourtney’s brother, Rob Kardashian, got on her last nerve with his obnoxious jokes and had to be thrown out! These two never stop, do they?
As for if her birth will air on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kourtney explained, “I don’t know. My experience last time was so peaceful and calm and everything you don’t see in the movies. And I really wanted to share that with people so they’d know it doesn’t have to be a crazy screaming session.” Her answer is a bit confusing. The camera crew was either there or they weren’t. Perhaps she’s going to wait and see how it looks on camera before giving it the go-ahead?
Baby Penelope, who already has four tutus, two bikinis and a ton of shoes, is living the life of a princess in her very own, all-white vintage inspired nursery in the Kourtney and Scott’s Los Angeles home.
“The whole family is so thrilled to finally meet her!” Kim raved about her new niece. “She’s absolutely perfect! I… can’t wait to spoil little Penelope. I know Mason is going to be the best big brother in the whole world.” Kim’s man, Kayne West, was out of town but had flowers sent to Kourtney’s home.
Khloe is equally excited. “The entire family is literally exploding with joy and have not stopped fawning over our new little girl. And Mason is already loving being a big brother! This is just such a special and happy time for my family. Thank you to Kourt and Scott for making such beautiful babies!” Khloe played a special part in Penelope’s birth — she was holding one of Kourtney’s legs during the delivery! Now that’s what you call sisterly love!
Kourtney is sure to be sure busy now that she has an infant AND a toddler. She probably won’t even have time for Twitter feuds with Teen Moms!
We would like to congratulate Kourtney and Scott on their new addition, and we gotta add an even bigger congratulations to Penelope Scotland Disick who is set for life.. and has no idea. Way to go, baby girl!
