There are celebrity shout outs and then there is the direct endorsement of Sir Anthony Hopkins.
There’s been quite a few celeb-gangsta wannabees showing love to the Mob Wives but when an Oscar winner and one of the most respected actors of his generation drops your name that’s a whole other level. In a recent interview with The Guardian, Hopkins was asked what his idea of a good night was and no it had nothing to do with fava beans and a nice Chianti but had everything to do with Drita, Renee, Karen, Carla, “Big Ang,” and Ramona.

Dude. That statement should cover the 2nd season DVD release when it hits stores. I’m not sure how the show goes up from that, but I’m guessing the gals and VH1 will be just fine with the great ratings. Now if I can just get Daniel Day Lewis reading starcasm…
