A pop star’s work is never done! Instead of sitting on their laurels and spending their days lighting candles with money, Rihanna and Britney Spears have been busy at work filming their respective new music videos (“We Found Love” and “Criminal,”) and, in the process, stirring up a lot of trouble!
Rihanna got into some Gaelic hot-water when she ran around topless in an Irish wheat field shooting “We Found Love.” Farmer Alan Graham didn’t know who Rihanna is, but he insisted that she keep her top on while prancing around his land (there were also a lot of locals gawking at Rihanna’s rated-r romp.) Graham didn’t go apeshit though, or call up his lawyers, he settled the matter with Irish charm and a handshake: “The state of undress was becoming inappropriate. I had a conversation with Rihanna. I hope she understands where I’m coming from. We shook hands.”
“We Found Love” is the first single of her yet untitled album set to drop November 18.
Also burning things up in the U.K. is Britney Spears, who got some flack from Londoners for filming her “Criminal” music video (from album Femme Fatale) in the wake of the London riots. She pretended to rob a shop with her beau Jason Trawick for a vignette in the video in an area recently under attack during the riots. They wore masks, and brandished guns (above), which angered local council in the Stoke Newington section of London. They said they did not give them permission to use replica guns in the area, and will be raising the matter with the production company. They’re trying to avoid the stigmatization of the community, and recently denied Britain’s Channel 4 the rights to film a movie there.
