True Blood fans are chomping at the neck bit for Season 4 to premiere on June 26.
To keep their avid followers from going completely rabid HBO has offered up a number of tidbits to whet their thirst including PSA announcements from the cast as well as an eight-minute preview clip from the first episode.
Another tidbit offered up by HBO is a series of wonderful promotional shots of the entire cast including writer/director/executive producer Alan Ball. The photos are taken in front of a sienna-colored circular gradient and feature the stars looking mighty sharp in semi-formal attire.
Discounting leads Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, I think my favorite male and female portraits are of Nelsan Ellis and Janina Gavankar:
Nelsan gets the nod because he’s got some serious sexessories! The hat, the glasses, the earrings, the beard, the bow tie and some sort of badass cloth belt that doesn’t seem to make any sense.
Janina Gavankar gets the nod mainly because I’m a heterosexual male and she is looking damn fine! But if I were forced to defend my choice I would have to point out the striking contrast between the foreboding, muddy background and Janina’s vibrant dark cobalt blue strapless dress as well as her sexy lean. (Do I really need to defend this choice? Look at that photo! I want to bite her neck and I’m not even a vampire!)
