VH1 announced in December that their Windy City incarnation of their Mob Wives reality series franchise would not be back for a second season, but that hasn’t stopped Mob Wives: Chicago star Pia Rizza from doing her best to stay in the headlines — with her headlights! Pia says she posed for some nude self portraits last year and sent them to her boyfriend to get his opinion on whether or not she was hot enough for Playboy. Someway, somehow somebody got their hands on the pictures and was reportedly shopping them around to various media outlets. So, Pia did what anyone would do in this situation… put the photos out herself! On TMZ!

Mob Wives Chicago sleeps with the fishes. A VH1 spokesperson has confirmed that the Windy City follow up to their popular New York City based Mob Wives series will not be coming back for a second season. The Chicago Sun-Times spoke with a few of the cast members and got their disappointed reactions as well as a litany of reasons for the cancelation that included the Olympics, lack of advertising, and something called an “accent barrier.”
Mob Wives: Chicago star Pia Rizza is unique to both VH1 mafia matriarch franchises because her connection to organized crime (her father Vincent Rizza) was not only mobbed up, but he was also a police officer! Keep reading to find out more about his story, which includes being arrested for attempting to buy cocaine in Mexico, running a bookmaker operation, turning witness against one of the most feared hit men in the history of The Outfit, and eventually winding up in the federal witness protection program. Includes a number of photos of Vincent from back in the day!
VH1′s original Mob Wives reality series was a huge hit, and I think at least some of that credit should go to the show’s marketing peeps who did a wonderful job of creating stylized visuals paired with one of the best (and fittingly badass) theme songs in reality show history. Now it appears that the same crew has taken on the task of handling the Windy City expansion Mob Wives Chicago, with similar results! In addition to great “police surveillance” style videography in the super trailer and the tough musical gem “Playing for Keeps” by Elle King, now we have the official cast photos of all the ladies – and they are wonderfully hyper-real and overly dramatic
Who’s ready for some mobbed up Windy City mama drama?!? VH1 has just posted an extended “super trailer” for their brand new reality series Mob Wives Chicago and it looks to have all the profanity-laden smack-down drama of the Big Apple original! Check out the more than four minutes of footage with introductions from all of the cast members as well as some sneak peeks at some of the over-the-top drama we can expect when Mob Wives Chicago premieres June 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Includes mug shots and some of the best quotes from each cast member!
VH1 expands its reality crime family on June 10 when they premiere Mob Wives Chicago – fresh on the heels of the hugely successful second season of the original Mob Wives. Earlier this week the network rolled out a series of “cast profile” videos featuring each of the Windy City ladies. Keep reading to watch the clips and get familiar with the The Outfit of ladies sure to be grabbing all the reality blogging headlines in a couple weeks!
Read on for the incredible theory that many investigators believe to be true if not highly plausible; that Mob Wives Chicago cast member Nora Schweihs’ dad Frank “The German” Schweihs murdered Marilyn Monroe. See a video report from 2008 in which this is discussed in detail, find out about a book written by two L.A. investigators that allege this is true and find out how the murder of a 19-year-old manicurist led to all of these theories.
The Mob Wives franchise is expanding to the Windy City and if the initial bios are any indication the cast members of Mom Wives Chicago are just as connected to organized crime as their Staten Island sisters. In doing a little background check I came across a pretty rough mug shot of cast member Nora Schweihs from a 2004 arrest in Florida. She was eventually convicted of DUI but her initial charges included some much more serious offenses. Read on for the deets.
VH1 announced in early March that they were planning on expanding their Mob Wives franchise into the Windy City, and now we have our first official visual for Mob Wives Chicago in the form of a 30-second preview trailer! Keep reading to watch the trailer, hear what the cast members had to say “behind the scenes” while filming it, and find out more about singer Elle King, whose song “Playing for Keeps” is used as the background music in the clip.
Christina Scoleri was announced yesterday as one of the cast members of VH1′s new reality series Mob Wives Chicago, but back before she landed that gig she sat in front of a different video camera in hopes of becoming the “Hottest Mom In America!” (You know the other ladies are going to bring this up on the show!)
