August is apparently the month for drastic hair changes! The latest celeb to give her skull rug a complete makeover is (former?) Mad Men actress Elisabeth Moss, who followed the lead of Miley Cyrus by going with a really short and really blonde look at the New York City premiere of For A Good Time Call… last night. (Are we seeing the beginning of the end for long, dark hair?!? I blame global warming!)

This is the elephant in the room for Don Draper is his health, and the show’s creators are leaving clues that suggest Don Draper’s smoking and drinking have finally caught up with him. While he’s busy living in a quiet desperation, his body might be finally rebelling against him after all the cigarettes, the booze, the long hours working, and of course the massive stresses of a bad childhood, war, divorce, and of course, secretly taking over someone’s identity.
Here are the reasons why I think Don Draper is suffering from lung cancer, emphysema, or some other illness brought on by his dangerous 1960′s Ad Man lifestyle:

Mad Men fans heads’ were invaded by a silly little tune during last night’s Season 5 premiere. Don Draper’s new wife Megan (played by French-Canadian Jessica Paré) did a seductive little dance during his birthday party while singing what sounded like “Zoo Be Zoo Be Zoo.”
What does it all mean, and why did she infiltrate our brains with this repetitive nonsense?
Belvedere Vodka took tasteless advertising to an entirely new level Friday when they posted a photo on Twitter and Facebook featuring a seemingly terrified woman trying to resist a man grabbing her from behind along with the slogan, “Unlike some people, Belvedere always goes down smoothly.” Keep reading to see the full advert, which was pulled soon after, as well as the cavalcade of apologies from Belvedere Vodka’s execs.
AMC’s perennial Emmy winning series Mad Men returns for its fifth season with a two-hour premiere on March 25, and on Monday the network released a batch of official cast photos for the upcoming run. Keep reading for the stylized 1960s portraits of the whole Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce gang! (Minus the fiercest and awesomest secretary to ever grace the small screen. R.I.P. Ms. Ida Blankenship.)
It appears Jon Hamm is a mad man when it comes to the popularity of reality stars! The Mad Men actor spoke very candidly on the subject in April’s Elle UK magazine, saying “Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated.” Then he adds, “Being a f***ing idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly.” Find out what other trait in women he is not a big fan of, that is bound to further enrage Bethenny Frankel.
Note to self: When I become super famous, don’t take sexy photos of myself on my cell phone (or record myself having sex for that matter) because they will eventually make their way to the internet. Apparently (much to the joy of millions of heterosexual males around the globe) Mad Men star Christina Hendricks didn’t make the same note to her curvaceous self because a handful of racy photos surfaced online today of Christina in various states of undress, including one photo of her abundant upstairs endowment in the buff.
A month after AMC released a somewhat controversial teaser poster announcing Mad Men would be returning for its fifth season on March 25, the network has now unveiled the official Mad Men Season 5 poster, which is just as slick, complex, and perfectly composed as you would expect from the creators of greatest show about advertising ever! (Well, except for maybe Melrose Place – but that’s completely different!)
On March 25th Mad Men comes back to AMC with their 5th season, so naturally the network is getting its promotional engines warmed up. As part of their marketing material, they have released a minimalist promotional poster for the new season that features a silhouetted man in a suit falling on a white-to-light-gray gradient background with just the words “March 25″ along the bottom. The image is graphically striking in its simplicity, but according to sites like Salon and Wet Paint, the poster is causing a bit of controversy from folks who think it is an obvious reference to 9/11.
Do you long for the more refined style of the 1960s American upper class? Does watching Mad Men on AMC make your Ed Hardy shirt seem extra douchey? Does your office have too little smoke and too many female executives? If your answer to the first two questions is “yes” then keep reading to check out Banana Republic’s limited edition Mad Men collection with over 60 retro pieces inspired by the AMC television show! (If your answer to the third question is “yes” then you are probably a misogynist smoker who probably wouldn’t shop at Banana Republic any way.)
