As we reported waaaay back in October, Gold Rush star Todd Hoffman and his crew of gold miners didn’t have much luck finding gold in their home state of Oregon, so they packed up their mining equipment (yet again) and headed a few states over to Colorado. Although we don’t know if their luck changed as far as finding gold, the Hoffman Crew does appear to be having some more bad luck as far as the Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety is concerned!
On the first two episodes of Gold Rush Season 7, Todd Hoffman and his crew had some worse than disappointing results from their first two clean outs at their Oregon gold mine, and their whole mining season looks be in jeopardy. Although we previously narrowed down the location of the claim to Baker County, and even had some satellite imagery of the equipment already on site, we still didn’t have an exact location — until now!

The warm-hearted, always-smiling grandad of Parker Schnabel reportedly passed away in his sleep last night at the age of 96. On Friday night’s episode of Gold Rush, Todd Hoffman dropped a bombshell on his crew and on viewers when he responded to the potential sale of his current mining claim to rival Parker Schnabel by researching the possibility of mining in his home state of Oregon next season.
