It’s ‘Duck or Treat’ time in Louisiana y’all! Check out these amazing photos of the RoBOOtson family from the Duck Dynasty Halloween episode airing October 25 in which reality TV’s funnest family-centric show pulls out all the stops with a wide array of costumes and what looks to be a haunted house in the warehouse!
Duck Dynasty returned for its fourth season last night and the special one-hour premiere episode featuring an emotional vow renewal ceremony between Robertson family matriarch Ms. Kay and patriarch Phil Robertson in honor of their 49th anniversary was watched by 11.773 million people, making it the most-watched episode of a non-fiction series in cable television history! Keep reading for all the numbers as well as a jubilant press release from A&E about the history-making event.
Duck Dynasty Season 4 kicks off tomorrow night with a one-hour special that includes a special surprise vow renewal ceremony for Robertson family patriarch and matriarch Phil Robertson and “Ms. Kay” Robertson to celebrate their 49th anniversary. In honor of the momentous occasion, I thought I might hop in the ol’ virtual time machine for a trip down memory lane with some throwback photos of Ms. Kay — most of which were taken long before any of the Robertson men had sworn off razors.
Falling in love young and making it last seems to be yet another of the admirable traits of Duck Dynasty‘s Robertson family. Patriarch and matriarch Phil Robertson and Miss Kay were high school sweethearts and have been married for 49 years and their sons (and daughters-inlaw) appear to be following in their successful relationship footsteps, including their youngest son Jeptha (Jep) and his wife Jessica, who have been married 12 years and have four children together. Keep reading for Jessica’s account of how the two met (with lots of photos of the two young lovebirds back in the day!) and find out her secrets to making a relationship last.
You can’t go anywhere these days without seeing the stars of the mega-hit Duck Dynasty. In just 3 seasons, the first family of duck calls has stormed the ramparts and made reality TV their own personal hunting reserve. From Willie’s struggles to run the Duck Commander business, to Phil’s battles with beavers and just about anything and everything Uncle Si does, the Robertsons have become their own brand of family-first redneck royalty. In celebration, check out our list of favorite inanimate objects from the show and then cast your vote or add your own in the comments!
Willie Robertson stated once on an episode of Duck Dynasty that a school reunion was a great way to show off how smoking hot his wife is. Well, the same can be said for the Academy of Country Music Awards as Willie and little brother Jep were accompanied by their lovely better-halves, Korie and Jessica Robertson. See HI-RES photos of the duck queens, an after-show interview as well as a candid pic of the girls with a famous singing friend. As a bonus, find out which famous attendee was too starstruck to approach the Robertsons.
The Robertson family knows how to stick together and it’s something they’ve been practicing a long time. Check out this photo from 1992 of the whole family at Willie and Korie’s Wedding! From Alan’s Magnum PI mustache to Phil’s black beard, this excellent Robertson photo time capsule will put a big grin on your face.
Our 50th state may soon be changing its nickname to the Alo”Hey!” State because the good ol’ boys and good ol’ gals of A&E’s Duck Dynasty have infiltrated the island! And as usual the Duck Dynasty folks were more than willing to abide by the adage “When in Rome, do as the Romans do,” and as usual, the Duck Dynasty folks do as the Romans do while remaining 100% Louisianan! (Yes, that is Uncle Si and Willie with surfboards!)
