Most people can stand to eat some more fruit. But, as Ashton Kutcher found out, there’s also too much of a good thing: While preparing for jOBS, a biopic about late Apple founder Steve Jobs, Kutcher adopted a fruitarian diet similar to a diet Jobs adopted at one point in his life, and was briefly hospitalized as a result.

Here’s Ashton Kutcher on set in character at the title character in the Steve Jobs biopic, tentatively titled Jobs: Get Inspired. Turns out all it took was for Ashton to grow a beard for him to look EXACTLY like the late technology visionary.

Director Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote) will be at the helm of what will surely be one of the most anticipated and publicized independent films of the next couple years as he tackles the life of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in the biopic Jobs. The project, which is scheduled to begin shooting in May, has just named its lead actor, and no, it’s not Meryl Streep. It’s none other than Punk’d, That ’70s Show, and Two and a Half Men star Ashton Kutcher! Though the announcement may come as a surprise to some (as it did to me), keep reading to see side-by-side photos of the two men that should help explain the choice.

Last week the world lost a true visionary when Steve Jobs left the planet, and it’s been an interesting time of reflection and inspiration as the world contemplates what it is about Jobs that made him so great. To help that along, we dug up a photo of one of the 200 very first Apple computers (tagline: “take a byte out of Apple”) called Apple-1. These babies were hand built by Apple partner co-founder Steve Wozniak in 1976, and were sold from Steve Jobs’s parents’ garage for $666.66. (Wozniak says he likes repeating numbers.)
