In just 3 seasons, the first family of duck calls has stormed the ramparts and made reality TV their own personal hunting reserve. Duck Dynasty‘s charismatic Silas “Uncle Si” Robertson has become one of reality television’s greatest gurus with a seemingly endless supply of meme-worthy witticisms and elaborate tales, the latter of which Si proudly boasts are 95% truthful. On Saturday Uncle Si was in attendance at the Texas Crawfish and Music Festival where he shared some of his infamous stories and answered questions for fans lucky enough to be in attendance, including his take on gun control!

A&E’s smash hit Duck Dynasty wraps up its third season this week with a one-hour finale special… from Hawaii! If you’re a Duck Dynasty fan then you’re probably aware of Phil Robertson’s prowess on the gridiron as quarterback of the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in the late 1960s, but did you know that Phil’s little brother Si was no stranger to handling the pigskin? Wednesday night’s double-shot Duck Dynasty premiere smashed the competitors as 8.62 million viewers tuned in for the first show, followed by 8.53 million for the second. The number one reality show on cable (that doesn’t involve the buying and reselling of used merchandise) comes back tonight as the bearded bravados of the Robertson family return for season 3 of Duck Dynasty with back-to-back premiere episodes beginning at 10/9c on A&E. To promote the new season, the Robertsons posed for photos sporting stylish camouflage outfits in a room (and on a Chaise lounge — er, Jase lounge?) decorated with the same camo pattern. The result is the usual awesomely awkward suaveness we’ve come to expect from the Robertson boys! (Korie and Miss Kay also got in on the fun two, but their photos are anything but awkward!)

Our 50th state may soon be changing its nickname to the Alo”Hey!” State because the good ol’ boys and good ol’ gals of A&E’s Duck Dynasty have infiltrated the island! And as usual the Duck Dynasty folks were more than willing to abide by the adage “When in Rome, do as the Romans do,” and as usual, the Duck Dynasty folks do as the Romans do while remaining 100% Louisianan!
