The Jersey Shore cast may have said goodbye to the Shore after filming their sixth and last season there over the summer, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t just as devastated about the damage done there by Hurricane Sandy. In fact, they are planning on doing whatever they can to help rebuild.

It’s official — the sixth and final season of Jersey Shore has a premiere date! David Janollari, Head of MTV Programming, made the announcement during the network’s presentation at the Summer 2012 Television Critics Association Press Tour earlier today that the beginning of the end will be October 4. Janollari also officially announced Snooki & JWoww would be returning for a second season (something we revealed more than a week ago) as well as Money For Strangers. Sammi and Ronnie are used to living together during filming on Jersey Shore, and after three years of on-again, off-again dating, it seems fitting that they give living together off-camera a shot. The couple has just announced that they are doing just that — and in a big way. They are looking to BUY a home in New York City! And, there’s even talk of SamRon starring in their own show!

Sammi Giancola and Deena Nicole Cortese are the best of friends on Jersey Shore. Although they didn’t like each other when Deena first joined the show in season 3, the two quickly became BFFs, on-screen and off. It’s the end of an era as the cast of Jersey Shore wraps filming on their sixth and final season of what is one of the biggest hit shows in the history of cable television. Even the MTV crew members seemed more relaxed, allowing themselves to be easily photographed along with Snooki, The Situation, Pauly D, JWoww, Vinny, Ronni, Sammi and Deena as they all carried their suitcases down the steps and to their (very nice) vehicles one last time.

The Jersey Shore stars’ salaries have always been a topic up for debate. These kids seem to have it made! They get to go on vacation a few times a year and party with friends for a couple months at a time. Most people have to pay for vacations, not the other way around!

MTV producers reportedly sat down with the cast of Jersey Shore in Seaside Heights just before filming began on the sixth installment of the popular reality show began and explained that this would be the last season. “An executive producer announced that this season will be the last,” an insider reveals in the new issue of In Touch, on newsstands now. “She stressed to the cast that fans will remember them for this season, not the first, so they should bring their A game.”
