Filming for the third season 3 of The Real Housewives of Miami got underway yesterday, March 28,  in South Beach. Marysol Patton and Alexia Echevarria hit the beach in their workout gear and went for a waterfront run with Bravo cameras in tow.

Changes are coming to The Real Housewives of Miami. Last season‘s show included a whopping seven (and a half if you include Alexia Echevarria) wives but season 3 may not have as many. Karent Sierra, who was one of four new ladies added for season 2, has decided to leave the show and original wife Marysol Patton has taken on a reduced role.

During the first Season of Real Housewives of Miami, we saw Marysol Patton marry Phillippe Pautesta-Herda in a romantic Aspen wedding. By the time the second season was filming, though, the pair had already split. They decided to divorce by the season finale, and viewers never really got to see them as a couple.

At some point on camera fellow castmate Lea Black made a comment about Marysol and Phillippe’s marriage being a green card marriage, and that comment became a source of sore debate in the Season 2 reunion show.

On tonight’s new episode of The Real Housewives of Miami, Marysol Patton is once again being pegged as the villain by Elaine Lancaster. Elaine claims that Marysol advised Lisa Pliner against hiring her for her shoe launch party which is featured in the episode. However, Marysol never suggested such a thing, and she’s revealing her side of the story exclusively to Starcasm.

Marysol Patton married Philippe Pautesta-Herder in an intimate ceremony in Aspen for the world to see on a season 1 episode of Real Housewives of Miami. While the show has just returned for its second season, their marriage has not. The pair has split and as fans of the show will see on the new season, Marysol is busy trying to move on.
