Instead, the AI judges are once again in the spotlight as Mariah Carey’s seven-minute medley performance is receiving criticism from viewers accusing her of lip syncing the whole thing. Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon celebrated their five year wedding anniversary in a big way. Mariah Carey and her holiday pillows certainly made things festive during the annual lighting of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center in New York City last night. The curvaceous 42-year-old diva sung her unstoppable holiday smash hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” She sported two separate ensembles. One was a low-cut red satin-embellished dress with silver peeptoe platforms and long red gloves. The 42-year-old looked fabulous as the crowd on hand enjoyed the moment as she taped segments for a special to be aired on NBC tonight. It’s been hinted at for some time, but Fox entertainment chief Kevin Reilly made it official earlier today by announcing Mariah Carey will be one of the judges on Season 12 of American Idol. Reilly made the announcement at a meeting of the Television Critics Association, saying that Fox and Mariah had reached a deal only hours before. He then put Mariah on speakerphone and let her talk to the crowd in attendance herself!
