After it was announced her spin-off series Don’t Be Tardy… had been picked up for a second season, Kim Zolciak said farewell to The Real Housewives of Atlanta, leaving her former bestie turned nemesis NeNe Leakes as the only remaining original cast member. Though Kim made a brief appearance on the Season 5 Reunion, it was assumed she was gone from the show for good. Ah, but hold on to your wig because we may not have seen the last of KZ on the RH of the ATL!

The latest shot in the “Don’t Be Tardy for the Party” war has been fired as Kim Zolciak files legal documents asking the court to drop Kandi Burruss’ lawsuit against her. Kim is claiming Kandi filed the lawsuit as a way to draw publicity for her new spin-off show, The Kandi Factory, which premiered on Bravo on April 9th. (Of course, if it is a publicity stunt, then Kim stands to gain as well because her spin-off, Don’t Be Tardy…, has its season premiere tonight — just before The Kandi Factory.)
With all of the current Real Housewives of Atlanta drama going on – NeNe Leakes becoming the highest paid Real Housewives star of all the franchises, Porsha Stewart getting divorced from Kordell Stewart etc., you may have forgotten that Part 2 and 3 of the Reunion still have yet to air, and they’re gonna be juicy! Keep reading to watch a clip from Part 2 in which former
An audio track of Kim Zolciak’s unedited vocals for the song “The Ring Doesn’t Mean A Thing” have just “popped up” online (less than four weeks after Kim’s former cast mate Kandi Burruss filed a lawsuit over the song “Don’t Be Tardy For The Party”), and after listening to it I can’t imagine anyone wouldn’t agree that Kandi is entitled to AT LEAST half of the money from “Don’t Be Tardy For The Party” for her miraculous sonic alchemy transforming lead vocals (pronounced “led”) into gold! Keep reading to listen to the raw vocals as well as the finished track, which was never actually released.
Kandi Burruss explains why she chose to sue Kim Zolciak for “Tardy for the Party” over three years after the song was released. Kim Zolciak has her own theory of why Kandi chose to file the lawsuit a month before her new show, The Kandi Factory, debuts – and she issued a long, stinging press release about it!
It seems that the recent disputes between The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast mates Kandi Burruss and Kim Zolciak, which included a feud over who first thought of the baby name Kash, has motivated Kandi to unbury the hatchet on a previous issue between the two. The 36-year-old singer/songwriter filed a lawsuit against Kim yesterday in Atlanta claiming she was not properly compensated for her work on Kim’s single “Tardy For The Party!” And she’s hired Phaedra Parks to represent her!
Kim Zolciak and Kandi Burruss started out as good friends when Kandi joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast in Season 2, but ever since Kandi turned vocal lead into gold with Kim’s dance hit single “Don’t Be Tardy For The Party” without seeing much of gold herself, their relationship went south. And now the feuding has escalated to whole new level with accusations of one of the worst offenses in housewifedom — baby name thievery!
Kandi Burruss’ show The Kandi Factory aired last year as a one-time special, but after viewership went through the roof, Bravo picked it up as a series. The network announced earlier today the first full season of The Kandi Factory will premiere April 9 at 10/9c. In addition to the premiere date announcement, which is the same night as Kandi’s RHOA cast mate Kim Zolciak’s second season premiere of Don’t Be Tardy…, Bravo has also released a preview clip. Keep reading to give it a look and check out a list of the 16 singers who will be appearing this season!
