The fourth quarter of Superbowl XLVI may or may not go down in history for its great football, but it will live forever in the memories of everyone who has ever dreamed of riding in RJ and J Paul Molinere’s airboat, having a cold beer with the Guist Brothers, or hearing Troy Landry yell “choot ‘em” in their ear. Because this isn’t just the year of Superbowl XLVI, this is Swamperbowl I! Here’s the “This is Your Boss” video — our first glimpse of Swamp People Season 3.
This is what I like to call going “next level” reality show reporting. Folks out there can’t seem to get enough of Swamp People and it almost always comes down to how darn genuine the cast members are and how real they come across. Well if you love you some Swamp People, especially the realism of it, then you’re going to be singing, “laissez les bons temps rouler” when you see the following clip of father and son gator hunters RJ and Jay Paul Molinere on local HTV 10′s “Bayou Time.” Man I love me some RJ!
Troy Landry may be King of the Swamp, but he isn’t the only royalty running alligator lines in the bayous around Pierre Part. In fact, he’s not even the only Swamp royal in his own boat! Rounding out Landry’s crew this season and handling most of the “chooting” is the Gator Queen herself, Liz Cavalier. Keep reading for Elizabeth’s amazing story that includes gator hunting trips before she was even off the bottle and the surprising truth about how she teamed up with Troy!
Alligators aren’t the only scary things Swamp People‘s Jay Paul Molinere does battle with because when he’s not in an air boat with pop RJ Molinere Jay Paul is in the boxing ring working on his people fighting skills! Keep reading to watch a video clip of Jay Paul training with his uncle during which he reveals why he started boxing at the age of six and how the skills he learns inside the ropes translate to “fishin’ gators” in the swamps of Louisiana.
RJ and Jay Paul Molinere are the latest father and son addition to The History Channel’s immensely popular reality series Swamp People, but they are anything but new to hunting alligators. They are members of the Native American Houma nation, which used to kill their alligator prey by pushing a long sharp stick down their mouths. These days RJ and Jay Paul use a rifle . . . and an airboat.
Read bios of both men, including a video clip of Jay Paul kicking butt in an Mixed Martial Arts bout and a link to RJ giving an arm wrestling tutorial. (Did I mention these two were tough?)
