The Harlem Shake craze has about played out, and I’m not sorry to see it go. Duck Dynasty jumped on the train right as it left town, though, and I’m glad they did. Willie’s pretty good as usual, and the puppet is a nice touch, but Jase steals the scene for sure.
Wednesday night’s double-shot Duck Dynasty premiere smashed the competitors as 8.62 million viewers tuned in for the first show, followed by 8.53 million for the second. Heck Jack, the lead-in and lead-out re-run episodes pulled in over 4 million peeps each. As a shout-out to the power of the bearded ones, here’s 20 quotes from the big night! Get your cup of tea ready as Si whips out a quotable whipping stick on Phil and the boys (and gals).
The number one reality show on cable (that doesn’t involve the buying and reselling of used merchandise) comes back tonight as the bearded bravados of the Robertson family return for season 3 of Duck Dynasty with back-to-back premiere episodes beginning at 10/9c on A&E. To promote the new season, the Robertsons posed for photos sporting stylish camouflage outfits in a room (and on a Chaise lounge — er, Jase lounge?) decorated with the same camo pattern. The result is the usual awesomely awkward suaveness we’ve come to expect from the Robertson boys! (Korie and Miss Kay also got in on the fun two, but their photos are anything but awkward!)
The Robertson family knows how to stick together and it’s something they’ve been practicing a long time. Check out this photo from 1992 of the whole family at Willie and Korie’s Wedding! From Alan’s Magnum PI mustache to Phil’s black beard, this excellent Robertson photo time capsule will put a big grin on your face.
When Korie says she “likes a man with a little meat on his bones,” Willie takes it as his cue to lose some weight . . . by doing yoga . . . and using a shake weight. Read on to see a video and photos of Willie’s attempts to get fit as well as Phil and Jase’s reactions to his new age fitness activities. (Includes a very unfortunate animated gif Willie will probably never live down.)
After less than two seasons A&E’s reality series Duck Dynasty has become one of the top five highest rated reality series on cable as America has fallen in love with these charismatic, bearded, business-savvy, family-first Robertson men and their lovely wives. And for anyone curious enough to explore the show beyond the weekly telecasts, the number one question that gets asked is “What were the Robertson boys like before the beards?” Check out the latest addition to the family photo collection that helps answer that question featuring lanky teens Jase and Willie holding up little brother Jep!
Jase Robertson sometimes acts a bit like a child. His wife Missy even said once on camera that she felt sometimes like she had four children. So, it is a little difficult to imagine that playful, bearded guy from the duck call room as a family man. But, like all the Robertson men, he certainly is. Jase and wife, Missy, have three kids: Reed, Cole, and Mia. Read on to get to know them a little better.
We already know that behind those massive chin brooms, the Robertson men are pretty handsome dudes. But, are they athletic, too? Keep reading to see some photos of the bare-faced Robertsons playing various sports throughout the centuries!
If you tune into A&E’s hugely popular reality series Duck Dynasty you will see a bunch of Southern fried (and seemingly crazy) bearded men somehow managing to be civilized enough to run a multi-million dollar empire. That’s the power of the Roberston women, and it is not to be trifled with. Read on to learn more about these special ladies who are the real secret to the Robertson family’s success!
