Country singer (and actor!) Willie Nelson is a seemingly ageless spiritual guru with a beard and long hair who is constantly traveling, likes to smoke, and almost always has a piece of wood with him in the form of his famous guitar, Trigger. So of course he would be a perfect fit to play JRR Tolkein’s wizened wizard, Gandalf! Now, thanks to the fine folks over at Conan O’Brien’s Team CoCo, here is Willie Wizard Nelson auditioning for the role in Peter Jackson’s upcoming The Hobbit 2!

Late night host Conan O’Brien was in Ireland this week getting back to his roots and picking up an award from Trinity College’s Philosophical Society while he was at it. The 49-year-old father of two hit the rainy streets of Dublin during his visit, which is where some seriously adorable images of daddy with his family were taken.

As part of his final night in New York City, Conan O’Brien sends Triumph the Insult Comic Dog to poop on Occupy Wall Street. Hilarity ensues.

Last night Conan O’Brien made a little TV history by officiating a same-sex marriage between his costume designer Scott Cronick and his partner David Gorshein. The ceremony took place at the Beacon Theater in New York City where O’Brien is currently filming his show in celebration of one year at the helm with TBS. Conan just so happens to be an ordained minister and he took his important job seriously as he made the marriage between Cronick and Gorshein official.
