Could you live on $1.50 a day? Ben Affleck is joining fellow celebs Jonah Hill, Sophia Bush, and Transformers‘ actor Tom Hiddleston on a week-long challenge to live on $1.50 a day, an amount the World Bank estimates as the extreme poverty line in the U.S.

Right around the same time that Ben Affleck decided it was in his best interest not to be in a film with Kristen Stewart, rumors swirled about a possible Senate run for the politically motivated actor and director. John Kerry has been nominated by President Obama to be the new Secretary of State which will leave his Senate seat in Massachusetts vacant.
