As we reported last week, MTV will be airing their “Amber Behind Bars” special next Tuesday featuring Dr. Drew interviewing Teen Mom Amber Portwood inside the Rockville Correctional Facility where she is currently serving a five-year sentence for felony drug possession. MTV has just released a preview clip from the special in which Amber talks about the fact that she has yet to have a visit from Gary Shirley or her daughter Leah.

As MTV’s original Teen Mom series finishes its run with a seemingly never-ending series of follow up and check in specials, we’re finding out these young moms won’t be leaving the video cameras behind any time soon as they each (with the exception of Amber Portwood) seem to be working on individual spin-off projects. Details about their respective new shows are sketchy, so we thought we might put together a list of suggestions for titles and concepts!

Just when you thought we’d seen the last of the original cast of Teen Mom on MTV with last night’s “Unseen Moments” special, MTV has announced Maci Bookout, Farrah Abraham, Amber Portwood, and Catelynn Lowell will be returning to the network for two more specials in October! A one-hour “Farewell” special will air on October 2 featuring the cast members looking back at their journeys over the last four years, with “with never-before-seen footage including their original casting tapes.” Then, on October 9, MTV will air a half-hour “Ask the Moms” special during which the cast members will answer lots of burning, unanswered questions such as “whether Maci and Ryan have ever hooked up post breakup to whether or not any of the girls will be on TV again!”

Last night was the second part of the Teen Mom Season 4 Finale Special with Dr. Drew with updates on Maci Bookout and Amber Portwood. (Catelynn Lowell and Farrah Abraham appeared in Part 1) As you probably could have guessed, Amber was unable to attend because of all her legal and personal issues, but she did write a rather lengthy statement, which Dr. Drew read on the show. Teen Mom Amber Portwood may be serving a five-year prison sentence, but that doesn’t mean she’ll just be sitting around with a bunch of other inmates doing nothing. She has big plans for her future and her mother is letting fans in on what she’s been doing.

Even though Amber Portwood initially regretted her decision to choose prison over rehab, according to her brother Shawn, she’s now adjusted to her prison life, and is enjoying being completely sober.

Gary Shirley and his baby mama Amber Portwood have sure been through a lot, too much — and fans of Teen Mom have seen it all. Although their relationship seems to be more toxic than anything, they seem to always end up back together.

This season of Teen Mom we watch Amber Portwood go through some really tough times. By the second episode she’s breaking down in her first stint of court-ordered rehab, and dealing with some deep, deep pain.
