Colin Firth’s wife Livia Giuggioli wears dress made from 11 dresses from The King’s Speech era

Oscar favorite Colin Firth arrived at the 83rd annual Academy Awards with wife Livia Giuggioli who has been on a two-year mission to only wear eco-friendly dresses when she accompanies her husband on the red carpet.

Her friend, journalist Lucy Siegel, gave her the challenge, and while she was a bit wary at first about the options, she’s been able to pull it off with style.

Tonight’s corseted number is pretty, but it also had quite a story. The gown is made from 11 dresses from the era of The King’s Speech.

Click on over to Vogue to seen some very romantically wistful photos of Livia getting corseted up. It looks like her wedding day, which is fitting because Colin has admitting to having “wedding day nerves” tonight.
