Here is the previously unreleased Michael Jackson song “A Place With No Name,” obtained by TMZ.com. As of yet, there is no information as to when the song was recorded. The song sounds remarkably similar to the classic rock tune “A Horse With No Name” by America – so much so in fact that Michael asked America’s former manager for the band’s OK, which was granted according to current America manager Jim Morrey. Morrey goes on to say, “The band was honored that Michael chose to do their song and they hope it becomes available for all Michael’s fans to hear.”
Only a snippet of the song has been made available and you can download it from TMZ or watch the “video” below, which is actually only a photo with the snippet playing - but the sound is great!
Here is a live performance of “A Horse With No Name” from America. (I couldn’t find the studio version in a “legally shareable” format.)
