Milwaukee Wisconsin is the drunkest city in America

The Daily Beast has released their list of the drunkest cities in America and the town whose professional baseball mascot (and team name) IS a brewer is the top sensation of our inebriation nation.  In other words, what’s made Milwaukee famous is making Milwaukee famous again!

The rankings compiled by TDB are based on the average number of drinks consumed per person in a month’s time.  As for Ol’ Milwaukee, that number comes out to a whopping 12.76 which is only 43 or so less than myself.  Additional imbibing for the home of Bernie the Brewer include 7.1% of adults who are heavy drinkers and 21.8% who are binge drinkers.

As for the nation of wussies that couldn’t hang with beer-town?  Here’s the remaining top 10 so they can at least know they need to step up their game next year:

2. Fargo, ND
3. San Francisco, CA
4. Austin, TX
5. Reno, NV
6. Burlington, VT
7. Omaha, NE
8. Boston, MA
9. Anchorage, AK
10. San Diego, CA

In honor of our friends from the north country and their hardened livers here’s the old classic “What’s Made Milwaukee Famous” as performed by “The Killer” Jerry Lee Lewis:
