Kanye West surprised the N.Y.C. with a live performance last night at the Bowery Ballroom. He performed his new critically acclaimed album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy in its entirety but, as he’s known to do, he launched in to a show closing self involved rant that’s going to be what lives on from the evening.
In the clip he talks about album sales, himself, the people’s need for him to make more music, the critics trying to keep him from making said music, Taylor Swift, his great reviews, bullying, domestic abuse, his defense that George W. Bush is a racist yet is still someone who deserves redemption for surviving being villainized, blogger hang ups projected upon him, and just about everything else Kanyecentric. Are you ready for the straight dope message that came down from West’s bizarre New York City sermon-on-the-mount? Here ya’ go (dirty words tag)!
Kanye West ladies and gentlemen! It’s hard to come up with any new ways of saying that this dude is a genius/egomaniac (there I go projecting my hang ups). Dichotomy personified and he always leaves us wondering if the great art is worth the self involved exhistential fart.
