I did a post a couple days ago about the Duck Tape Stuck At Prom Scholarship Contest that highlights the amazing craftsmanship of teenagers from all over the country who made boy and girl prom outfits completely out of duct tape in an attempt to win a college scholarship. I just received a comment from one of the ten finalists in the contest, and in appreciation I’d like to offer starcasm’s endorsement of the Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter! (Contestant number 87) Here’s their lovely Alice In Wonderland-inspired outfits – made COMPLETELY out of duck tape remember!

My twin brother and I made the cut. Over 300 entries and we made it to the top ten. It’s really been a lot of fun promoting, being interviewed on TV, and radio. I realize the couple is trying to round up votes, but I give them kudos for a pleasantly worded request and for the marketing ingenuity to realize just how powerful the starcasm empire is! This endorsement alone will probably mean an extra two to four votes! FTW! So do your duty as an American and get over there and help these talented kids go to college!
