What everyone in the two worlds of cable news and groovin’ booty shakin yeah baby had hoped against hope to be true is coming to pass. Howlin’ Wolf Blitzer will finally be making an appearance at the annual Soul Train Awards.
The awards ceremony is going to be held November 10th at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, GA. Blitzer’s appearance will be broadcast on BET and Centric on November 28th at 9 P.M. EST . Other soul matrons scheduled to appear include hosts Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson along with honorees Anita Baker and Ron Isley.
Blitzer is scheduled to make an as-of-yet announced special presentation.
Here are two clips back to back that should clarify exactly how the silver bearded anchor of CNN’s The Situation Room jives with the funktastic long running American institution that is Soul Train. Some things in the pop universe, like Brangelina, were destined to unite. That was a glorious double shot of line dancing funk. Well the second clip was. I actually have no idea why the hell Wolf Blitzer is going to be at the Soul Train Awards but I certainly can’t wait for THOSE red carpet photos!
